WSBS has partnered with Deloitte to host a case competition at the conference. Attendees had the opportunity to submit a solution to a business problem before the event. Finalists were then invited to present their solutions at the Summit, where a winner was chosen by the Deloitte team. Deloitte has also done a recruiting info session during the Summit, where attendees had the opportunity to learn more about a career in consulting.
The prompt is as follows:
“How can the NFL (or NBA – any professional sports league) embrace the new world of player empowerment in a way which incentivizes collaboration between the league, players, teams, and their respective social media platforms, to mutually benefit from their huge brands?”

Proposal: The NBA should implement a televised shark tank program, where players will be able to anonymously pitch any project ideas to a panel of judges and online viewers. The judges and viewers will be able to decide which idea should get funded followed by the players revealing themselves.
