Sports Analytics Seminar
This is for you if you:
- Want to get better at statistics
- Want to work in sports and know you need to know statistics
- Know the business you are in is related to statistics and you would like to see how it is used
WHO: MBA and Graduate students, led by Adi Wyner, Professor of Statistics
WHAT: Voluntary, discussion-based format of sports analysis & application for leadership-level decision making
WHEN: Bi-monthly
WHERE: Virtual
OUTCOME: Data exploration and learning, hands-on application opportunities and potential for projects and research
Sports Research Group
This is for you if you:
- Are deeply interested in and knowledgeable about sports analytics
- Have strong coding and statistics skills
- Are interested in producing and publishing original research
WHO: Undergraduate students in Wharton and across Penn, led by Adi Wyner, Professor of Statistics
WHAT: Group that meets to discuss and collaborate on cutting-edge sports analytics research projects
WHEN: Weekly, biweekly, mutually agreed upon time, evenings
WHERE: Virtual
OUTCOME: Hands-on application, often related to current sports events, individual research projects, data exploration and learning
